The Autumn Stillpointe Retreat and Yagna

During the third week of October, Recognitions Associates from around the world joined Master Charles for the Autumn Stillpointe Silent Retreat and Yagna.

This impactful program, featured nightly Stillpointe meditation sessions with Master Charles, a week- long Yagna featuring Synchronicity's pujaris, and Master Charles' sharing a special message from the Blessed Mother. Other highlights of the retreat included nightly presentations by selected residents and community members about their unique Synchronicity experiences.

Two Associates Complete Synchronicity's
Teacher Training in October

For three days prior to the Stillpointe Retreat, Synchronicity Associates Bob Sherwood and Eric Baker attended the Teacher Certification Training learning the basics of Modern Spirituality as developed by Master Charles and facilitated by Phil and Patty Duncan. Both students successfully mastered the material and received a certificate from Master Charles in a graduation ceremony on the first night of the Retreat.

Deborah's Birthday Gifting

Retreat participant Deborah Anderson celebrated her Birthday during the Retreat by sponsoring a special dinner for all Retreat guests. Master Joe

Master Joe, a long term Synchronicity Associate, is our oldest retreat participant at the grand old age of ninety one! Master Charles named Joe Slicker 'Master Joe' as an acknowledgment of his enlightening presence. To be around Joe and his positive perspective and holistic state of being is to become young again! It is always a delight to have Master Joe join us for a Retreat and we are also most grateful to him for his generous contributions to our fund raising efforts.

We are happy to welcome our newest full time staff member Ruth Venezian.  Ruth met Master Charles  a year ago when she participated in serve study and again when she was a guest at the Modern Spirituality Retreat.  Soon after that, Ruth moved into her mother's house near the Sanctuary so she could participate here more often.  Now, in a full time position, Ruth has assumed the  new role of Communications Coordinator and is a welcome addition to our staff team.

Marie’s annual visit to the Sanctuary.

Marie Roycroft is currently staying at the Sanctuary for three months on a Serve Study Sabbatical and will participate as a guest at the October Stillpointe Retreat. Marie comes all the way from her home in New Zealand and has spent three months out of every year with us for the last fourteen years.

Her participation and contribution in this community enriches us all as we delight in her sweet radiant heart presence and look forward to her return every year.

The Synchronicity Healing Circle

Created by Master Charles over three years ago, the Synchronicity Healing Circle is an experience of the power of non-local healing generated through the intention of a select group of Synchronicity staff and community members who sit together in intentional meditative focus each week and generate a field of absolute health and well-being.

The Healing Circle welcomes individuals in need of healing who choose to open to this possibility for themselves. To be included, one must agree to fully participate in each session and to submit a report of one's experience.

“From the first session I experienced subtle changes in my injury, deep states of meditation and loving energies surrounding me... and over several months there was a steady progression to full healing. My doctors were surprised at the completeness and speed of my recovery. Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi and Master Charles Cannon Deliver a Special International Webcast

On the evening of September 17, 2011, an international audience gathered for a  webcast featuring two of the world’s great masters, Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi of Humanity in Unity and Master Charles Cannon of Synchronicity Foundation, as they dialogued the theme, The Eternality of Now.

The respect, affection and love shared by these two friends was apparent, and their ecstatic states of being flowed to the audience in an experience of empowerment. The webcast theme, The Eternality of Now, came alive for all who participated.

 

Open House and Shoebox Dialogue Weekend

The weekend of September 10-11 featured our most recent Open House and Shoebox Dialogue Weekend with Master Charles Cannon.

Once again, Master Charles’ Shoebox Dialogue was noteworthy for its wisdom and depth.  As a recent guest commented, “Amazing…as only from an authentic master!” 

The weekend celebration continued Sunday morning, September 11 with the Synchronicity Yagna and concluded with Sunday Morning Meditation with Master Charles.

Master Charles in Mexico

Master Charles has returned from presenting programs in Mexico City and Cancun. Large, enthusiastic audiences greeted the Master in both venues. There was extensive coverage of his trip by the media.

Special Guest Program
with Swami Shankarananda

On Wednesday evening, June 22, 2011, Master Charles Cannon and Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shankarananda Saraswati greeted an audience at Synchronicity Sanctuary and also an international audience who joined by live webcast. Master Charles introduced the evening and welcomed his long- time friend, Swami Shankarananda, founder of the Shiva Ashram in Melbourne, Australia. Swamiji delivered a delightful presentation filled with penetrating truth and insight, yet flowing with humor. Following a session of High-Tech Meditation, both Masters greeted the audience in darshan.

Summer Solstice Yagna

On the evening of the summer solstice, June 21, 2011, here at Synchronicity Sanctuary, Master Charles welcomed a group of his special guests, guru brothers and sisters, to a Summer Solstice Yagna. This sacred fire ritual, preformed in honor of the Divine Feminine, was conducted by Synchronicity Staff members. Two guests, Swamis Shankarananda and Chetanananda were honored with special places by the sacred fire.

Open House Weekend

On June 11, 2011, Synchronicity Foundation hosted its second Open House of 2011.  The evening featured Master Charles in one of his famous Shoebox Dialogues—a spontaneous discourse evolving out of a random selection of quotations from the shoebox beneath his desk.   The evening concluded with darshan and empowerments.  Guests were invited to attend the Synchronicity Sunday Morning Yagna followed by Meditation with Master Charles.  Our next Open House Evening and Shoebox Dialogue will occur on September 10, 2011.

 

Spring 2011 Stillpointe Silent Retreat and Yagna

This semi-annual retreat was celebrated at Synchronicity Sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with an international audience in attendance during the week of May 15-22. The guest attendees enjoyed seven evenings with Master Charles, including five Stillpointe meditation sessions. A six-day Yagna took place simultaneously and everyone experienced progressive holistic empowerment throughout the week. The experience was topped-off with a Blessed Mother message at the Shrine of the Heart. (http://www.blessedmotherapparition.com ).

Master's New Year Empowerment Retreat

The 2010-2011 Master's New Year Empowerment Retreat has just concluded. An international audience gathered for this three day retreat where they were treated to Master Charles' inspiring dialogue on opening evening, a Stillpointe Meditation and Empowerment on New Year's Eve and a celebratory New Year Yagna. Master Charles' New Year Day dialogue, featuring a current message from the Blessed Mother, was video recorded for release to all Synchronicity Associates.

 

Master Charles in Mexico

Master Charles has just returned from six weeks in Mexico. In both Cancun and Mexico City he gave an Introductory evening dialogue for the public entitled, “Modern Spirituality…The Time is Now”. These programs were followed by Stillness of Being Evenings (9 in Cancun and 6 in Mexico City) during which he offered, in brief dialogue, focusing techniques for the meditation sessions that followed with him. Afterward, he greeted the audiences in darshan. The response of the Mexican audiences to personal interaction with Master Charles was electric, and hundreds of people waited in lines for up to an hour to see him.

In each city the programs concluded with two-day Empowerment Weekends that attracted capacity audiences. Once again, the response to Master Charles' presence and message was enthusiastic and many people experienced awakening.

During his visits to both cities, Master Charles gave numerous interviews for radio, television and print media. Many new people came to Synchronicity's Recognitions Program as a result of his visit in Mexico.

While in Mexico, Master Charles also toured the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadeloupe in Mexico City and the ancient Mayan ruins at Chichen-Itza in Yucatan.

Christmas at Synchronicity

The Synchronicity staff and community celebrated Christmas with Master Charles on Christmas Day. It was a white Christmas with snow falling as all enjoyed a delicious, traditional Christmas Dinner that was followed by an evening reception with Master Charles. Even though Santa made an appearance, Master Charles' holistic Sourcefield was the perfect gift to all in attendance.

A Documentary Film Series from Odyssey Networks

Synchronicity Foundation is pleased to announce a documentary series from Odyssey Networks filmed in November 2010 and marking the Second Anniversary of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack. This anniversary also marked the launch of One Life Alliance India.

The Memorial Event was beautifully captured by Odyssey Networks, the nation's largest multi-faith coalition dedicated to promoting tolerance, peace and social justice through the production and distribution of media.

Thanksgiving at Synchronicity

Thanksgiving Day was celebrated in a festive fashion at Synchronicity Sanctuary by staff and community members. The day opened with an expression of gratitude for Master Charles and included a delicious, traditional Thanksgiving Day dinner.

 

Two Years Later: Mumbai 26/11 Memorial Program

Mumbai was the host city for the One Life Alliance Second Anniversary Memorial Program, where Kia Scherr and Master Charles Cannon, joined by twelve members of the Synchronicity Survivor Group, honored the sacredness of life and launched One Life Alliance - India. The Oberoi Trident Hotel Regal Ballroom was filled to capacity and the entire audience participated in taking the One Life Alliance Thirty Day Pledge.

Master Charles in Benares, India

Master Charles, along with Kia Scherr and several members of the Synchronicity Mumbai Survivor Group, spent five days in Benares on the banks of the Ganges River at the ashram of His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Swami Satuwa Baba Maharaj. The visit was arranged by Her Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi and facilitated by her disciples in Benares. Maharaji is 98 years old and highly respected throughout India for his most enlightened state of being. He welcomed Master Charles and the group with great love and respect.

The One Month Retreat, an In-Residence
Program in Modern Spirituality

Synchronicity Foundation is pleased to announce the One Month Retreat, an In-Residence Program in Modern Spirituality at Synchronicity Sanctuary. Blessed Mother Statues

Synchronicity has recently been able obtain custom-made, beautiful statues of the Blessed Mother. This answers a long-term request of the many Associates who have asked about this possibility. Depicting Her in a form that Master Charles frequently describes, She has been sculpted in a most joyous state - head tilted back and arms uplifted in an ecstatic state of complete abandon to the bliss of Source. Autumn Fundraiser Winners

Synchronicity Foundation congratulates Sook Yin Chung as the winner of The Master's Blanket, first prize of Synchronicity's Autumn Fundraiser.

Second prize, three months Facilitated Mentoring with Master Charles went to Amy O'Brien, and third prize, a Recognitions or Core Dynamics Phase change was won by Deborah Anderson.

November Open House and Shoebox Dialogue

On November 6, 2010, Synchronicity will host its last Open House evening for this year. These unique programs feature Master Charles randomly selecting favorite quotations from his famous "shoebox" and then weaving them together as only he can. Kia Scherr is in India to organize the One Life Alliance Memorial of the November 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack. One Life Alliance will have its formal India launch during the week of November 21-28.

The Modern Spirituality Retreat

This new retreat attracted an audience that was largely new to the Synchronicity Experience, including participants from Mexico and Canada. The retreat covered the essentials of the modern spirituality experience in an informative and interactive manner. The result was a program that was practical and relevant to our modern world. The highlight of the retreat was Master Charles presenting six evening sessions and fully delineating his most current expression of modern spirituality.

Master's Day Weekend

Master's Day was celebrated this year on the weekend of July 31 – August 1. On Saturday, July 31, a large crowd of guests assembled and experienced a wonderful evening dialogue by Master Charles. After the evening’s formal program, he greeted each guest and gave his personal blessing. On Sunday, August 1, a special Master’s Day Yagna was held at Synchronicity’s Yagna Pavilion with our resident pugaris presiding. The names of the many sponsors of the Yagna were read and placed into the sacred fire.

Synchronicity TV Special Event

The Master's Day Weekend Retreat evening dialogue by Master Charles was recorded as a special event for Synchronicity TV. Synchronicity Mexico

The Synchronicity Mexico staff is very busy and making an impact. On Sunday, August 1, 2010, the staff participated in a public Yoga Event at the Zocalo Plaza in Mexico City. 651 individuals participated in an 80 minute yoga session directed by the Synchronicity Mexico’s primary certified teacher, Juan Jeronimo Gonzalez. The Synchronicity CD “OM” was played throughout the entire 80 minute session which closed with a meditation to the entrainment technology. The energy of the event was described as “amazing”.

Master Charles in Montreal

On the evening of July 22, 2010, Master Charles presented a public program at the KoSA Centre for the Performing Arts in Montreal, Canada. His theme, “Modern Spirituality…The Time is Now”, was was enthusiastically received by a large audience. At the same venue on Sunday, July 25, he presented a full day program, “The One Day Seminar… Modern Spirituality…High-Tech Meditation and Holistic Lifestyle". Again, a large, receptive and appreciative audience delighted in his teaching and empowerment. Truly, everyone had a wonderful experience.

On Friday evening, Master Charles was the special guest of Patrick Bernard, an award winning musician and composer, in Patrick’s public concert “Meditation for Peace”. Master Charles read a selection of mystical poetry to Patrick’s accompaniment. It was a profoundly empowering and heartfelt experience for all present.

Master Charles in Chicago

Following Master Charles’ programs in Montreal, he travelled to Chicago for media interviews and personal visits prior to his upcoming formal programs in August. During his brief stay there, he was interviewed by Bill Campbell of WLS-TV-ABC7 Chicago. The highly respected television program, “Chicagoing with Bill Campbell” will be aired on Sunday, August 15 at 11 am CST. Podcasts of the broadcast will be available Tuesday, August 17th at: http://abc local.go.com/images/wis/podcasts/chicagoing.xml. Master Charles also met with our Synchronicity Chicago Program coordinator this year, Martha Linn, and a large group of her friends in a personal session that was sponsored by her. He also met with several Chicago Buddhist leaders in an event coordinated by Mark Hayashi.

From August 18-20, Master Charles will be presenting programs in Chicago. This visit represents a return to the city following his successful programs there in May 2009. On August 18, he will present “Modern Spirituality…The Time is Now”—an Evening Dialogue, Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation and Reception" at the Maggie Atcher Theatre, 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg, IL, 7:30 - 9:30 pm. On Thursday and Friday evenings, August, 19 and 20, 7:30 – 9:30 pm, he will host “The Stillness of Being – Meditation Evenings” at the same venue. We welcome all Synchronicity Associates and friends to join us in Chicago.

Synchronicity Australia

Synchronicity Australia has restructured its leadership. The new President is Will Federico, who now handles the distribution of Synchronicity products to the Australian audience. Synchronicity Foundation for Modern Spirituality expresses a warm "Thank You" to Linda and Graham Masters for their devoted service to the organization for many years. Synchronicity Ducks

If you have visited Synchronicity Sanctuary, you have seen the Synchronicity Ducks. They paddle gracefully around our pond during the day and sometimes seek out passersby if they sense it might be feeding time.

Nighttime is not as tranquil for our ducks based on the predatory creatures that live in the surrounding woods. Thus, we have built a duck house where they now spend the night. They enter at evening feeding time and are enclosed within the structure, which is also surrounded by a protective electric fence. In the morning they are released back into the pond. Synchronicity at The Center of the One Heart Festival

Synchronicity Foundation participated in The Center of the One Heart Festival held at Swannanoa Palace and Grounds on Afton Mountain, Virginia on June 12 and 13, 2012. The organization is a central Virginia based educational corporation serving as a networking and support organization for teachers, healers and artists in the greater central Virginia area.

The program theme was “Divine Synchronicity: Being the Flow Through 2010”. Phil Duncan and Bobbie Garvey represented Synchronicity Foundation in this two-day event which drew hundreds of visitors and vendors. The event was highlighted by eight speakers who gave presentations on a number of current topics. Phil’s presentation on High-Tech Meditation and Holistic Lifestyle was well received by the festival.

 

Charlottesville Whole Life Festival

On the weekend of May 22-23, Synchronicity Foundation participated in the 2010 Charlottesville Whole Life Festival. Phil Duncan and Bobbie Garvey represented the organization in a presentation of High-Tech Meditation.

Master Charles in Houston

On May 26, 2010 Master Charles presented an evening program to an enthusiastic Houston audience at Unity Church. His subject was "Modern Spirituality: The Time is Now". He followed this public program with a one-day intensive seminar on May 29, 2010. Spring 2010 Stillpointe Retreat and Yagna

"Love Is The Answer, No Matter The Question"

The Stillpointe Silent Retreat and Yagna is Synchronicity's most impactful program.  Held twice yearly in spring and autumn, it combines a week-long retreat of dialogue and Stillpointe Meditation with Master Charles in a silent context and is complemented by a six day Yagna (Sacred Fire Ritual) dedicated to the Divine Feminine. 

Our Spring 2010 retreat has just concluded.  The holistic energy of the Sanctuary resulted in a profoundly sacred and expansive experience for all retreat guests and staff. In addition, everyone was treated to an evening at the Shrine of the Heart, the public apparition site of the Blessed Mother within Synchronicity Sanctuary.  Master Charles shared his experience of the apparitional manifestation of the Blessed Mother and conveyed Her message. Afterward, upon Her instruction, Master Charles delivered an attunement to the assembled audience in the meditation hall. 

The Yagna created an expansive Sourcefield that saturated the entire Sanctuary throughout the week. An international audience joined in sponsoring the Yagna which was perfectly orchestrated by our visiting Brahmin priests, Ramesh and Khanan. 

All agreed that the week was most expansive and blissful - as only can be experienced in the presence of an authentic spiritual master. 

Synchronicity Teacher Certification Training
in Mexico

Following Master Charles' programs in Mexico in February, 2010, a large number of new students began Synchronicity's Recognitions Program, our course in modern spirituality. In order to facilitate these students in Spanish, Synchronicity Staff member Phil Duncan conducted Teacher Certification Training in Mexico City and Cancun during April 3-12, 2010.   Eleven enthusiastic and qualified students attended the intensive courses in the two cities and were awarded certificates as certified Synchronicity teachers.

Synchronicity Supports Shanti Mandir in India

Synchronicity Foundation recently made its annual donation to Shanti Mandir Ashram in Magod, India in support of their charitable work to provide  health care to villages in the vicinity of the ashram.  Their work provides a mobile health clinic and primary health care and medications to the local population who live in rural villages.  They also operate an eye clinic and camp to address the common problem of eye diseases in rural India.   Shanti Mandir Ashram is directed by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Nityananda Saraswati.

Master Charles' subject was the theme of the retreat - "Love Is The Answer, No Matter The Question". In his dialogue with the retreat audience he developed the subject of Love as Essence, Source, the Ground of Being and our very nature. Through the gateway of coherent heart-field, we access universal consciousness and the experience of ourselves as Love - as Essence. However, the heart-field is blocked by the many "stories" of our mind-field. Master Charles Birthday Celebration Retreat

Synchronicity celebrated Master Charles 65th Birthday during this annual retreat from March 11-14, 2010. Participants were treated to his usual brilliance of discourse as well as an evening Stillpointe meditation. On the eve of his birthday, he delivered a dialogue that was recorded as a Special Event for Synchronicity TV. As part of this event, he read a message from the Blessed Mother and offered his commentary on it.  

On Sunday, March 14-Master Charles' birthday, the Birthday Celebration Yagna was offered as the concluding retreat event. The holistic source-field generated was sublime and expansive. The names of those sponsoring the event were offered into the sacred fire.

Master Charles in Los Angeles
and Santa Barbara

Master Charles visited the Los Angeles area for programs during March 21-29, 2010. On March 24, he presented a public program entitled "Modern Spirituality... The Time is Now" at The Wheel of Wellbeing on Westwood Blvd. He returned to this venue for a day-long program, "Modern Spirituality... High-Tech Meditation and Holistic Lifestyle - The One Day Seminar" on March 28. An enthusiastic crowd greeted him on each occasion.

During his Los Angeles visit, he travelled to Santa Barbara where he gave an Evening Dialogue and led the audience in Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation. While in Santa Barbara, he visited the Vendanta Temple in Montecito where he met and was interviewed by Allan Silberhartz , host of the Santa Barbara based television show "Between Heaven and Earth", an international format for awakening.

In Los Angeles, Master Charles met Steven Robbins, a Kabbalist rabbi, and Kit Thomas, a producer with extensive credits and awards in the film, music and television industries. Their meeting led to a session of filming Master Charles for an upcoming website, "Circle of Wisdom", which features individuals acknowledged for their wisdom and accomplishments.

On Saturday, April 3, Synchronicity welcomed a large open house audience to a wonderful evening with Master Charles as he spontaneously delivered a brilliant discourse by weaving together a collection of randomly chosen quotations.

Master Charles in Mexico

From February 16-28, 2010 Master Charles visited Mexico where he presented programs in Mexico City and Cancun. In each city he gave both an introductory evening program for the general public and a full-day empowerment program for those interested in exploring modern spirituality in depth. The audience turnout was excellent and the response to Master Charles was overwhelming as the Mexican people warmly embraced him and his message. Many new enrollees in the Recognitions Program resulted from his visit.

During his stay, he gave radio interviews in each city. The radio interviews in Mexico City were broadcast nationally and reached several million people. There was quite a "buzz" of excitement from them.

While in Mexico City, he spent a day with the Toltec Guardians of the Grotto of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This well-known apparition of the Divine Feminine originally appeared to a Toltec Shaman named Juan Diego. The Grotto where She appeared has remained under Toltec guardianship since that time. The current Toltec Guardians, Antonio and Susanna, welcomed Master Charles as a brother and shared their rich lineage with him. They visited the actual Grotto and Master Charles witnessed the apparition therein. Their time together was magical, miraculous and full of love.

2009 ended and 2010 began during this annual retreat - always one of Synchronicity's most impactful experiences. Master Charles counseled the group to relinquish their understanding of this time of year as a New Year - rather, in the truthful understanding of the "New Moment" that it is. A large guest audience and staff were treated to evening dialogues from Master Charles and one Stillpointe meditation with him. High-Tech Empowerments occurred over the New Year's hour. New Year's Day was a combination of holiday and retreat with the Master.

Christmas Day was a family affair at Synchronicity Sanctuary as staff and community members gathered with Master Charles for a traditional Christmas Dinner. Afterward, a reception was held in which Master Charles met all attendees. It was a joyful celebration with the Master.

November 26th marked the one year anniversary of the Mumbai terrorist attack.  It also marked the official launch of One Life Alliance.  Master Charles Cannon and Kia Scherr hosted a special webcast inviting everyone to participate in the on-line conversation honoring the oneness and sacredness of life. http://www.onelifealliance.org

Special Guest Retreat

A Special Guest Retreat with Her Holiness Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi and Master Charles was held at the Virginia Sanctuary June 25-28. Many disciples of both enlightening Masters were in attendance and everyone agreed that it was one of the most powerful and transformative experiences ever.

Although it was a fairly short program, guests experienced the power of Mastership from morning to night. Evening programs featured both Master Charles and Sai Maa and left us swimming in oceans of bliss each night. The evening programs were also offered via teleconference and podcast making this stunning experience available worldwide. Morning programs featured Sai Maa and afternoons were spent with Master Charles. Comtemporary Empowerments were available following the evening programs and were presided over by both Masters.

This was truly an experience of a lifetime and surely one that we would love to repeat.

Yagna

No Special Guest Retreat at Synchronicity would be complete without the powerful focusing ritual known as the Yagna. Once again our beautiful Brahmin priests lifted us out of mundane reality into a luminous realm of intoxicating delight. Both Sai Maa and Master Charles participated in the ritual daily and their deep reverence and valuing of the experience was apparent. This Yagna was commissioned to support and bless both Synchronicity Foundation and Sai Maa's organization, Humanity in Unity. The names of the sponsors were read aloud during the ceremony and deepened the feeling of unity between the organizations and their sponsors, both those who were physically present and those who were with us in spirit.

Kia at Yogaville

Kia Scherr was asked to represent Synchronicity and participate in the Interfaith Prayer Ceremony at the Yogaville ashram in Buckingham County, VA. The July 5th event featured leaders from ten different faiths presenting prayers from their traditions with the theme of "Spiritual Freedom". Kia presented a Blessed Mother prayer/message to conclude the presentations. Yogaville is the ashram of the of the late Swami Satchitananda, and is well-known for its ecumenical focus. Synchronicity has been a member of the Interfaith group for some time and we are honored to have Kia serving as a representative of the Synchronicity Experience.

Sanctuary Grounds

Thanks to the bounty of Mother Nature (with lots of assistance from the resident community) the Sanctuary grounds are looking spectacular, with carefully tended gardens and beautiful landscaping everywhere. As a special gift to program participants, Master Charles himself drew the design and chose the colors for the sunbursts which now adorn the shrines along the path to the Yagna and Blessed Mother Pavilions. The ever-expanding energetic here at the Sanctuary is reflected in its environment, which just continues to grow more beautiful and inspiring. It is a physical expression of the gift of love which is available to all who visit these grounds.

Hermitage Renovation

Renovations on the lower level of the Heritage have been completed. We now have comfortable accommodations for up to sixteen serve-study participants or program guests. The 4 new rooms feature bunk beds and double bathrooms. It'll be just like being at camp!... except... not exactly.

Master Charles in Chicago

Master Charles presented several programs in Chicago this month which were very well-received and drew record crowds both to the introductory evenings and to the daylong Empowerment.  All participants in the Empowerment received the Recognitions 1 Program and we are very pleased to welcome each of them into the program and acknowledge their commitment to transformation.  Master Charles also appeared on the television show "Chicagoing" with host Bill Campbell.  There was an immediate rapport between the two, and Master Charles was delighted that Mr. Campbell was able to accept his invitation to participate in the daylong Empowerment.

The Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation Retreat was held at the Virginia Sanctuary May 19-24, 2009.  Each evening Master Charles offered a fresh and dynamic presentation of the fundamental principles underlying the Synchronicity Experience, providing an excellent introduction for beginners and an inspiring refresher course for returning guests.  We were pleased to host a truly international group of participants for this program, including members of the Synchronicity community from Mexico, Russia and Singapore.  We reached an even larger global audience through the live podcast of the event, which makes it possible for everyone to attend programs with Master Charles, wherever you may be.

Master Charles annual Birthday Celebration Retreat was held at the Virginia Sanctuary March 12-15, 2009.  This beautiful program honoring Mastership was highlighted on the occasion of Master Charles’ birthday on March 14, when he delivered the Blessed Mother’s birthday message to him - and by extension, to all of us.  In the spiritual tradition of Mastership, the birthday heralds an expansion of the guru’s energetic field.  As Master Charles experienced his own energetic expansion during the program, accompanied by the tangible presence of the Blessed Mother, so too did he gift all of  us with a group empowerment which left many in awe, and some in tears, over the magnitude of what they had just experienced.   

It was an expansive, heartfelt weekend in which we were joined by many dear members of the Synchronicity community.  The Saturday program was also made available worldwide through teleconference and podcast, making the same energetic expansion accessible to Synchronicity meditators all over the world.     

Synchronicity now has a new 10-part series produced specifically for YouTube entitled Messages from Mumbai.  In these fascinating videos, which run approximately 10 minutes each, Master Charles explores the holistic meaning of the Mumbai attacks and uses the discussion to bring our awareness to the Oneness of all Life and the role each of us plays in creating our reality.

Our most recent Synchronicity Teacher Training was held February 15-22 at the Virginia Sanctuary.  This marks the 9th consecutive year of the training, which was facilitated for the first time by Kia Scherr with the assistance of Phil Duncan and Lisa Schwaber-Barzilay.  

A class of seven exceptional graduates received their "diplomas" from Master Charles on the final night of the program before a supportive audience of residents and community members. 

Our newest Certified Synchronicity Teachers include Ginger Marcus, Samudra Josepher, Joe Mitchell lll, Kammie Goatley, Anne Gregory, Cherie Hawkins, Shane Grant and David Rivers.  All expressed their appreciation to Master Charles and to Kia for creating this opportunity to greatly expand not only their understanding of the Synchronicity Model, but also their state of Sourceful awareness over the course of a very intense week of training.

The Synchronicity Inner Network is context in which members of the Synchronicity community and Recognitions Associates can share their meditative experience and communicate with each other via email.  The Inner Network, which is emailed to members in newsletter format five days a week,  has recently experienced a shift in focus as more readers become writers.  Along with Master Charles’ weekly contribution and "assignment," each day of the week features a specific theme and members are invited to submit their experience or insights within the context of that theme.   

This increased involvement of Inner Network members is a natural expression of the on-going expansion of the group and yet another expression of the practical experience of Oneness.  As we grow in awareness, our experience becomes valuable to others and provides yet another point of contact on our collective journey of One.

On February 14, Synchronicity welcomed a large attendance to its first program of 2009, a Shoebox Dialogue with International Teleconference and Podcast.  The audience was blessed with another scintillating dialogue from Master Charles as he took a group of quotations from his "shoebox of quotes" and wove them into a wonderful discussion.  The program was simultaneously broadcast via teleconference and podcast.  The Shoebox Dialogue will soon be available as a CD audio discourse.

Yet by meditating deeply on her directive, Master Charles was able to transform his experience into one of great love and light.  Through his enlightening insight, he raises our awareness of how we, too, can transform our experience into a blissful expression of Divine Life.

As the latest step in our ongoing efforts to bring Master Charles and the Synchronicity Experience to the largest possible audience, we are developing new ways to make our programs and retreats available to a worldwide audience.  For some time we have offered our popular teleconferences, and we recently provided several podcasts - one of the Scherr Memorial and the other of Master Charles’ New Year’s Message and group empowerment. 

We are planning to increase the number of podcasts of special programming here at the Virginia Sanctuary, including opportunities for participants to experience the powerful group empowerment by Master Charles, such as was offered on New Year’s Eve.  Also in the works are "Webinars" with Master Charles.  These seminars will allow you to interact with Master Charles and participate in real time from wherever you are located.  Stay tuned for more information on these exciting developments.

Master Charles and the Synchronicity Residential Community hosted several traditional events this holiday season which provided a warm setting for our community to come together and consciously celebrate this special time of year. 

On Christmas Day, residents and community members joined Master Charles for a quiet (and delicious) Christmas dinner.  This was followed by our annual holiday reception with Master Charles which was held downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.  This warm time of sharing featured gifts, greetings and lots of desserts!  Master Charles met with everyone in attendance, giving each of us the opportunity to share stories, reminiscences and well wishes and to savor Master Charles’ enlightening presence.

Over the New Year’s Holiday we offered our annual Master’s Empowerment Silent Retreat.  This unique program provided an excellent opportunity to reflect on the events of the past year and to rededicate ourselves to our journey for the coming year.  The program culminated on New Year’s Eve with a powerful program in which Master Charles shared with us the Blessed Mother’s New Year’s Message followed by a very impactful group empowerment which included not only those physically present but also individuals from all over the world who joined us via teleconference or podcast. 

High-Tech Meditation Retreat

Synchronicity's High-Tech Meditation Retreat with Master Charles was presented from October 14 - 19 at the Sanctuary.  This five-day retreat experience is focused on the fundamental principles of Master Charles' Holistic Model of Reality with Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation and Holistic Lifestyle as the practical means.  Among the attendees were many who were new to meditation as well as more seasoned practitioners.  Daily sessions with Master Charles included opportunities for the retreatants to receive Master Charles' holistic perspective on specific questions regarding their meditative and holistic lifestyle experience as well as their challenges.  One new attendee was so inspired that she decided to return to the Sanctuary the very next week and attend the Autumn Mastery Retreat... a powerful acknowledgement of the transformation that can happen in the presence of authentic Mastership.

Master Charles to Travel Extensively in 2009

Master Charles has asked the Synchronicity Administrative Team to plan his 2009 calendar to include increased national and global travel. As a result, there will be two week-long retreats in 2009 rather than four as has been the Sanctuary tradition. Both will be Stillpointe Silent Retreats held in April and October and each will include a week-long Vedic / Tantric Yagna performed by Brahmin priests from India.

While plans have not yet been finalizred, invitations have been extended to Master Charles to visit Chicago in the U.S., Vancouver in Canada, It is heartening to see that as the signs of global transformation are becoming increasingly evident, many are turning to Modern Spirituality as a means of expressing the awakening of their individuated consciousness. Meditation on the Mall

Recently, Marita Digney, a Synchronicity Certified Teacher, Secular Community member and Jungian Analyst, opened a professional office on Charlottesville's very popular Downtown Mall. She was inspired to find a way to introduce interested individuals to the Synchronicity Experience and so, she created "Meditation on the Mall", a monthly group meditative experience held on Sunday afternoons. The first Meditation on the Mall is scheduled for Sunday, November 2nd, and has been advertised to the public in a variety of ways. Master Charles and the Synchronicity Community are strongly supporting this new outreach effort by Marita. Stay tuned for more details!

In his first visit to Toronto, Master Charles presented a series of programs to interested Canadians. On the evening of Thursday, Sept. 25th, an Introductory Program was offered in which Master Charles dialogued on the theme of Modern Spirituality and its practical application, Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation.

This well-attended free event drew a diverse audience with participants coming from as far away as Montreal as well as from locations in and around Toronto. Many purchased Synchronicity soundtracks and books and also enrolled in the full-day Empowerment Program presented on Saturday, Sept. 27th.  On the following evening, a book signing with Master Charles was held at a bookstore in the Toronto suburb of Markham. 

The full-day Empowerment Program was again well-attended and included seasoned practitioners as well as those who were new to meditation. Master Charles elucidated the Holistic Model of Reality in-depth, answered individual questions, offered a variety of awareness techniques and led the group in extended sessions of Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation, both in the morning and afternoon sessions.

The program concluded with a Farewell Greeting in which many expressed their profound gratitude in having the opportunity to spend time with Master Charles in such an intimate setting. Future plans include a series of programs with Master Charles in Montreal as well as Vancouver.

Synchronicity's eighth annual Teacher Certification Training was offered at the Sanctuary from Sept. 14 - 21. As with each training, the participants received in-depth understanding of the Synchronicity Holistic Model of Reality, the philosophical, academic and scientific basis of the Synchronicity Experience, as well as its practical application, Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation.

Each day, the trainees spent many hours in a classroom environment and through intensive dialogues, Q & A and practice sessions, became conversant in this modern expression of the time-honored wisdom from which Master Charles created the Synchronicity Experience.

The last evening featured the graduation ceremony in which each participant addressed the entire Synchronicity Community in Master Charles' presence. The sharing was profound and heartfelt, with each graduate expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the profound gift of Master Charles' wisdom. Master Charles then presented each graduate with a certificate of completion and delivered a beautiful dialogue on the value of speaking from one's state of being and the power of sharing holistic experience with others.  In all, it was a most empowering conclusion to an inspiring week.

Concurrent with the Summer Stillpointe Silent Retreat, a week-long Yagna, a Vedic / Tantric ritual of holistic empowerment, was conducted at the Sanctuary. Within the newly constructed Ritual Pavilion at the Shrine of the Heart, two Brahmin priests performed this intricate and profoundly elevating traditional ceremony with Master Charles presiding over many of the daily sessions.

Against a backdrop of silence, the Sanctuary was alive with the sounds of ancient mantras chanted from early morning until evening. The Yagna fires continued 24 / 7 and the Synchronicity Community participated in shifts around the clock to be sure the flames were kept burning. Retreat guests sat in the Ritual Pavilion several times each day, saturated with the blissful energetic entrainment that was generated. In all, the 2008 Stillpointe Yagna was a most sacred and magical creation that took all assembled to new heights of holistic fulfillment.

On July 18th, The Synchronicity Monastic and Secular Communities gathered to celebrate Guru Purnima, the traditional Vedic / Tantric day of honoring the Spiritual Master. Held annually on the full moon day in July, Guru Purnima affords an opportunity to express one's gratitude and re-affirm one's dedication to the consistent source of empowerment and holistic guidance that the Spiritual Master embodies.

Included in the celebration was a traditional Vedic / Tantric ceremony known as "aarti" or offering of light, which was first performed by Master Charles in acknowledgement of his own Spiritual Master and then by members of the gathering to Master Charles himself. Accompanying the ceremony is the ringing of bells, cymbals and blowing of a conch shell.

Master Charles then offered a brief but very inspiring dialogue on the theme of Mastership and the evening concluded with a meditation and Greeting.

On June 27, 2008, Dr. Mohammad Alam, his wife, Naila, and friend and associate, Yasmeen Durrani, from Herndon, Virginia, visited the Sanctuary and met with Master Charles. The purpose of the visit was to discuss how the Synchronicity Experience could serve to facilitate Dr. Alam's vision for global peace, particularly in the forty-eight nations that comprise the world of Islam.

Dr. Alam is Founder and Chairman of Our Future World group of companies and is also Director and Chief Technology Officer of Express Care, Inc. - a humanitarian organization that provides information and assistance to those in need, offering a support network that is often lacking.

Naila, CEO of Express Care, is a recipient of the Champion of Compassion Award, from the United States Department of Labor, Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. (An Initiative by the President of the United States). This successful humanitarian organization has received numerous awards, both nationally and locally. The latest achievement of Express Care took place on Thursday June 26, 2008, when it received the prestigious 'HONOR OF HOPE AWARD' from The White House under the Faith and Community Based Initiative by President George W. Bush. This award was presented at the White House National Conference of Faith and Community Based Initiative held in Washington DC, which was well attended by more than 1500 people representing non-profit organizations (nationally and internationally) and government officials.

Dr. Alam was introduced to the Synchronicity Experience as a participant of our recent High-Tech Meditation Retreat. He said he came to "try out" the technology to see if it would be effective in accelerating his projects for world peace. His experience was so affirmative that arrangements were made for him to meet with Master Charles to discuss the practical details of implementation. Master Charles enthusiastically acknowledged Mohammad's vision in utilizing Synchronicity Contemporary High-Tech Meditation and Holistic Lifestyle to deliver holistic awareness to those in Islamic nations, thus facilitating balance and contributing to a more peaceful world.

In addition, Mohammad is a close associate of Masaru Moto, the Japanese author of The Hidden Messages in Water and will speak with him about meeting with Master Charles to introduce the Synchronicity Experience to Japan.

Synchronicity Foundation for Modern Spirituality recently concluded its five-day High-Tech Meditation Retreat, featuring daily sessions with Master Charles. Delving deeply into the fundamental principles that underlie the Synchronicity Experience - Contemporary High-Tech Meditation and Holistic Lifestyle... Master Charles inspired the participants to awaken to the possibility of their spiritual awakening and transformation.

In several cases, retreatants new to Synchronicity were accompanied by long-term participants who benefited equally in the opportunity to spend time in Master Charles' empowering presence. As is often the case, the advanced meditative experiences reported even by those who were experiencing Synchronicity for the first time, once again validated the precision and efficiency of using modern sonic technology to accelerate the evolutionary journey.

The next High-Tech Meditation Retreat is scheduled for the Autumn of 2008.

A new blog: Master Charles Cannon, The Modern Mystic... In His Own Words has been launched as part of the Synchronicity website. After his welcoming message, Master Charles has recently posted a second entry in which he discusses the term "Guru" and it's importance within the spiritual journey. Here is an excerpt from that blog entry:

Guru is a Sanskrit word. The first syllable, Gu, means darkness. The second syllable, Ru, means light. The true Guru is one who takes you from the darkness of ignorance to the light of truth. Yet, what is important is how this enlightening process is actualized. It is not about intellectual education. It is about authentic spiritual empowerment.

Earlier in 2008, Master Charles and a few Synchronicity staff members toured a number of locations in India, presenting Synchronicity Contemporary High-Tech Meditation to the Indian public as well as interacting with many highly respected spiritual leaders and teachers from the Vedic / Tantric Wisdom Tradition.

To follow up on the enthusiastic demand generated from that tour, Master Charles will again travel to India in mid-November, 2008. On this two week tour, the focus will be presenting several large public programs as well as nightly gatherings with Master Charles, all in one location: Bombay.

Master Charles is also extending an invitation to Synchronicity Associates who wish to join him in India. The tour will be planned as a package that includes airfare, lodging and attendance in all programs with Master Charles. Also planned is a day-trip to Ganeshpuri, where Master Charles spent many years with his illustrious teacher, Paramahansa Muktananda. In Ganeshpuri, there will be a precious opportunity to visit the samadhi shrine of Bhagwan Nityananda, the legendary teacher of Master Charles' teacher, Muktananda.

As a result of a request from Synchronicity Associate Kammie Goatley of Nashville, TN and her husband Cory, who serves in the U.S. military and has been deployed to Iraq, the soldiers of Cory's unit can now enjoy a selection of Synchronicity Contemporary High-Tech Meditation CD's, several Master Charles audio discourses as well as The Synchronicity Experience Book and CD set.  What a great way to bring balance to one of the places in the world in which imbalance is so extreme!

Hello Martin!

I just wanted you to know that I spoke with Cory today and he received the package from Synchronicity!!  His phone hasn't had a signal for him to call home for 3 weeks... but the day your package arrived he did!!  We only spoke briefly, but he was very excited and grateful for all the cds and books.  He said he already gave half of the things to SGT Luker.  The two of them are going to then share with the other guys in their squads.

The Foundation recently presented a $2500 donation to Shanti Mandir, the ashram of H.H. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Nityananda Saraswati, located in Magod, Gujurat, India, in support of its ongoing outreach providing health care and medical services to the local population who could not otherwise afford it. 

Among these outreach services is a twice yearly "eye camp" which provides free outpatient eye care services, including the identification and treatment of those needing cataract surgery.  Operations are performed free of charge by a highly skilled medical team utilizing cutting-edge surgical techniques. The average income of the patients is $20 per month.  To date, over 2,000 surgeries have been performed with a 100% success rate!  Swamiji's personal presence at these eye camps is evidence of the deep compassion and true spirit of inclusion that he embodies.

In addition, Shanti Mandir runs a daily mobile health clinic for the people of the local villages surrounding the ashram.  The mobile clinic provides primary health care, treatment, education and medications to between 60 and 100 patients every day. 

While in India earlier this year, Master Charles spent time with Swamiji at Shanti Mandir and was deeply moved by this demonstration of universal love in action.  It is this that has prompted him to join with Swamiji and Shanti Mandir in supporting this charitable endeavor. 

New images of the Divine Feminine from across a variety of cultures and times will soon be installed along the Sanctuary's contemplative walking paths. Encased in glass display frames, these beautiful images exemplify the understanding expressed by the Blessed Mother in Her apparitional manifestation, that She is "The One in the Many"... the embodiment of every form of the Divine Feminine and yet, is beyond them all. As it was in the sanctuary of his illustrious teacher, Paramahansa Muktananda, Master Charles is recreating here at Synchronicity Sanctuary, a classical element within the spiritual lifestyle such that everywhere one looks, there is an empowering reminder of Sourceful reality and the divinity of life itself.

Synchronicity Sanctuary hosted an Open House Weekend concurrent with "It's Time for a New God - The Weekend Retreat" from April 4 - 6, 2008. On Friday evening, April 4th, Master Charles joined the assembled guests and community members for the monthly meditation at the Blessed Mother public apparition site located in the Shrine of the Heart at the center of the Sanctuary.

On the following evening, speaking to an audience that filled the Environment, Master Charles presented his monthly Open House dialogue prior to which he chooses a number of quotations at random from among a large collection that he keeps in a shoebox... thus, he playfully refers to these monthly talks as "shoebox dialogues".

Master Charles visited Nashville, TN from April 19th - 23rd. This was his second visit in the last six months and was marked by his attendance at the acclaimed Nashville Film Festival for two screenings of the documentary film "The Spiritual Revolution" which features him along with a number of other spiritual teachers, medical doctors and researchers. Both screenings were very well attended and along with producer / director Alan Swyer, Master Charles answered questions from the audience following each showing. In addition, Master Charles presented an evening dialogue and meditation at the newly opened Devi Clinic, a healing and yoga center jointly owned by Synchronicity Certified Teachers Alicia Anderson and Rudrani Devi. Many local Synchronicity Associates were in attendance on this occasion.

Recently, a new statue of the Blessed Mother was installed at the Blessed Mother Public Apparition Site in the Shrine of the Heart at the center of Synchronicity Sanctuary. The new statue was a year in the making and was sculpted by artisans in Peru. It is nearly ten feet in height and is modeled on the large painting of the Blessed Mother by Russian born artist Alexander Anufriev that hangs in the Sanctuary Atrium. The new statue reflects Master Charles' visionary experience of the Blessed Mother as an ecstatic expression of "The One in the Many", a term She has often used to describe Herself.

During Master Charles' recent visit to London, he was interviewed by the Holistic TV Channel, an internet broadband television network whose mission is to promote conscious holistic topics and programs to be viewed on-line, anytime and anywhere in the world.  The interview was conducted and filmed by two very loving and conscious people, Nicola Hague and Robert Armstrong, who met with Master Charles for over an hour.  In a very relaxed and informal interview, Master Charles shares his experience on a number of topics ranging from his childhood, to the Synchronicity Experience, to the Blessed Mother Apparition and more.

We have recently concluded Master Charles’ Birthday Stillpointe Retreat, held March 17 - 23, 2008 at the Sanctuary Retreat Center.  This retreat was a very special one not only because it marked Master Charles’ 63rd Birthday celebration, but also included a week-long yagna, a comprehensive Vedic / Tantric ritual of invocation and empowerment focused on the Divine Feminine.  Highly trained and experienced Brahmin priests conducted the yagna in two sessions per day of three to four hours each.

In addition, on Friday evening of the retreat, Master Charles presented The Sounds of Source live, in which he chanted portions of the Vedic / Tantric scriptures known as The 1,000 Names of the Divine as Mother, accompanying himself on the veena, a traditional Indian stringed instrument.  It was a rare and sacred occasion that delivered all gathered to the most sublime states of holistic fulfillment.   

As the week concluded, many retreatants commented that this was the most impactful week-long retreat experience they ever had. 

On Sunday, February 24th, Master Charles and his supporting staff returned to the Virginia Sanctuary after nearly six weeks touring India and London.  The purpose of this journey was multi-faceted and included extensive interaction between Master Charles and some of the most respected spiritual leaders of India as well as the presentation of Synchronicity Programs to the public in India and London. 

Additionally, the tour afforded an invaluable opportunity for Master Charles to connect with key people in the areas of media, publishing and the arts for the creation of future collaborative programs and projects.  This will open new possibilities for the context of Modern Spirituality that Master Charles has evolved.  In all, the tour was an unqualified success that has inspired widespread interest in the Synchronicity Experience.

From October 18th - 22nd, Master Charles was invited to take part in a celebration marking the 100th birthday and 25th anniversary of the passing of his teacher, Paramahansa Muktananda. The event took place in Walden, New York at Shanti Mandir, the ashram (spiritual sanctuary), of Mahamandaleshwar Swami Nityananda. In attendance were six Mahamandaleshwars (literally ‘Lord of the Great Circle’ - a highly honored Vedic / Hindu spiritual title).

His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Swami Nityananda Saraswati Maharaj welcomes Master Charles and the Mahamandaleshwars.

The celebration included traditional rituals, ceremonies and chanting as well as spiritual discourses on topics within the Vedic / Tantric philosophical model. Long-term disciples and associates of Muktananda also shared personal stories of their time with him. Master Charles, whose monastic name is His Holiness Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, joined the Mahamandalashwars in giving Darshan to the participants. For a western Spiritual Master to be invited to participate on an equal basis with Mahamandaleshwars is virtually unheard of and represents a profound validation of Master Charles’ enlightening presence and authentic spiritual mastery. In addition, Master Charles was invited to join the Mahamandaleshwars for programs in India in January and February, 2008.

Future plans include the possibility of holding a similar event at Synchronicity Sanctuary.

On July 28, 2007, an historic teleconference was held in celebration of Guru Purnima, the traditional Vedic / Tantric day of the year on which the Spiritual Master is honored and revered. Spanning the globe from across the USA to Europe, India, and Australia were participants from the communities of Master Charles (Synchronicity Foundation for Modern Spirituality), and Her Holiness Sai Maa (Humanity in Unity).

The teleconference theme was The Master Disciple Relationship, with each Guru giving an inspiring discourse on the value of this most precious opportunity for holistic empowerment or divine communion. From the Synchronicity Sanctuary in Virginia, Master Charles spoke lovingly of his relationship with his Guru, Paramahansa Muktananda, one of the most acknowledged eastern mystics of the modern era. He also related several classical stories that illustrated the role and value of the Guru:

The advent of a Guru in one’s life is like an explosion of an atomic bomb.  It rattles you to the core – explodes you to a whole new level of experience.

Her Holiness Sai Maa spoke ecstatically from the ashram of Her Guru, Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, India.   

The Guru is the manifestation of love in form at the center of our hearts.

Near the conclusion of her inspired discourse, she shared the actual experience of Sathya Sai Baba’s entrance into the ashram hall in which a great Guru Purnima celebration was unfolding in honor of her Guru. 

In all, the Guru Purnima teleconference was a most blissfully inspiring experience for all who participated.

On May 12th, 2007, WCAV-TV, a major Charlottesville television station and CBS / Fox News affiliate, filmed the monthly meditation with Master Charles at the Blessed Mother Apparition site and aired the broadcast later that week on the 11:00pm news. Beginning in September, 2006, several teleconferences have been offered with the theme: The Blessed Mother - Who Is She And What Does She Represent? These initial teleconferences were intended to introduce the Blessed Mother Apparition to the larger world of Synchronicity by endeavoring to convey and understanding of the significance of her apparitional manifestation in this non-sectarian community in these times along with something of Her energetic presence.

In our most recent teleconference on October 14th, 2006, moderator Alan Scherr began with an overview based on Master Charles' recent discourse on the Blessed Mother Apparition as posted recently on the Inner Network. Following this was a short "meditative visit" to the public apparition site which led the teleconference participants to the same sacred space experienced on a daily basis by those coming to the Sanctuary. Many commented that they were able to experience quite palpably the energetic presence of the Blessed Mother through this "virtual tour".

Master Charles was also formally introduced to the assembly and acknowledged by Her Holiness Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi. Thereafter, Master Charles and Sai Maa spent many hours late into the night and early morning hours, discussing the ways and means in which they and their two organizations might collaborate and support each other in their common vision of a world restored to balance and spiritual value.

Also, Master Charles was invited to address an assembly of all the Australian participants along with Sai Maa�s �Master Teachers�, those who she has designated as primary representatives of her teachings to the world. The response was nothing less than heart-warming and deeply transformative. All were delighted to meet the Modern Mystic and enjoy his palpable energetic transmission.

After the conclusion of the Vail intensive, Master Charles traveled with Sai Maa through the Rocky Mountains to her ashram in Crestone, where their collaborative dialogue continued along with opportunities for Master Charles to meet with members of her monastic and secular communities. In the high desert of Colorado, with the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range as a backdrop, the secluded and rugged beauty of the natural environment combined with the intoxicating energy of two Spiritual Masters to create a fulfilling and holistic experience.

Most impressive was the heart-felt welcoming, acknowledgment, and honoring that Master Charles received from all and everyone and the openness to his modern, technological approach to spirituality with Contemporary Meditation as the means. Looking ahead, ongoing collaborations are being planned as if to demonstrate to the world what it could mean to bring balance to the relative polarities� with the human representation of the Divine Masculine and Feminine� two Spiritual Masters� sharing their combined wisdom� as a unity in diversity.

After showing her the Blessed Mother painting, Master Charles then welcomed Sai Maa into the Environment, where the assembled were invited to come forward individually to greet them both. The mutual honoring and deep love that flowed between Mataji and Master Charles literally filled the hall with divine light and the assembled disciples were gifted with a most uplifting and empowering experience. Sai Maa then spoke to the group for a short time and led a beautiful Vedic chant joined by Master Charles.

After the two Spiritual Masters bid farewell to the assembly to spend time privately discussing plans for future collaborations, Her disciples were hosted by the Synchronicity Community for a sumptuous luncheon and tour of the Sanctuary Retreat Center. Many from both communities commented that the visit felt more like a �homecoming� than merely getting acquainted. Without a doubt, there was an immediate sense of heartfelt welcoming and the joyful recognition that all are brothers and sisters in the spiritual journey, sharing in the greatest fortune possible for a human being� a devoted and steadfast commitment to a true Spiritual Master.

As part of the tour, an overview of the Synchronicity Holistic Lifestyle Model, as created by Master Charles, was presented to the Sai Maa Community by Synchronicity teachers, including a short session of Synchronicity Contemporary HighTech Meditation. It was a blissful experience of meditative awareness in which many were reluctant to remove their headphones at the conclusion!

From there, the tour culminated with a visit to the Pavilion (Blessed Mother Apparition site), wherein the combined communities assembled together for a meditation in the sacred presence of the Blessed Mother, whose apparitional manifestation continues on a daily basis. Simultaneously, Sai Maa and Master Charles communed with the Blessed Mother in Her private apparition site, The Grotto, adjacent to the Pavilion. As the assembled disciples� meditation was ending, all were gifted with the vision of the radiant Masters joyfully emerging from the Grotto� a most auspicious conclusion to an empowering communion of two great spiritual luminaries and their disciples.

In his first ever visit, Master Charles will present public programs in Toronto, Canada in September, 2008. The first is a free introductory program on the evening of September 25th. On September 27th, Master Charles will present a full-day Empowerment Program that will include the Recognitions Program - Phase One for all participants at no additional charge.

Guru Purnima is the day of the year on which one's Spiritual Master is celebrated and acknowledged, according to the Vedic / Tantric Tradition. In 2008, this most sacred occasion falls on July 18th, the day of the full moon. As it is truthfully expressed in the Shiva Sutras, among the most time-honored sources of spiritual wisdom, "The Master is the means." The Masters Empowerment Retreat, Synchronicity Sanctuary�s final retreat for 2007, was held from December 29th - January 1st, 2008.  Guests from all over the world attended this retreat which featured Stillpointe Meditation Sessions every evening along with additional daytime meetings with Master Charles in which participants were given the opportunity to receive his Sourceful perspective on their challenges.  One of the highlights of the retreat was a Blessed Mother meditation and message with Master Charles on New Years Eve Day.  You can read the Blessed Mother's New Years message by clicking here.   

Master Charles’ Birthday Stillpointe Retreat featured a week-long yagna is a comprehensive Vedic / Tantric ritual of invocation and empowerment.  This particular yagna was focused on the Divine Feminine in keeping with Master Charles’ life-long association with the Blessed Mother and Her apparitional manifestation within the Shrine of the Heart at Synchronicity Sanctuary.

Retreatants had several opportunities daily to sit at the specially constructed yagna site and enjoy the sacred energetic experience generated by the chanting of mantras and offering of specific materials into the yagna fire, which was kept burning 24 / 7 throughout the week.  Each day, Master Charles was in attendance, blessing and overseeing the ritual. 

The yagna’s conclusion at midday on Saturday, March 22nd was marked by great celebration and along with Master Charles, everyone shared in the miraculous collective empowerment created over the course of the week.

One of the most sacred expressions of the Vedic / Tantric Tradition is the yagna, a ritual of invocation and empowerment that accesses the subtle dimensions of Consciousness, creating balance and wholeness on a collective, environmental level.  Yagnas are highly specialized rituals that are precisely performed by those trained since early childhood in the orthodox traditions that are at their basis.  There are many forms of yagnas, including those that have the invocation of the Divine Feminine as their focus, but all share the primary intention in creating balance and wholeness.

On the evening of July 29th, 2007, the Synchronicity Community celebrated Guru Purnima with traditional ceremonies of acknowledgement and honoring of Master Charles.� Following the conclusion of the formal ceremonies, Master Charles was garlanded with flowers and a special mala (necklace), of rare Rudraksha beads from India that are traditionally worn by those whose primary focus is spiritual empowerment and human mastery.�

Master Charles then greeted each participant individually followed by an inspiring discourse in which he shared a number of intimate stories from his days with his Guru, Paramahansa Muktananda.� A beautiful chant of a Divine Feminine prayer and meditation concluded a memorable evening for all.� ��

A number of years ago, Master Charles expressed a wish to plant fruit trees on the Sanctuary property, so that subsequently, fresh fruit could be provided for the Synchronicity Community throughout the summer and fall.� Once a suitable location was determined and the land was prepared, peach, apple, cherry and pear trees were planted and began to mature.

In the last few years, we have begun to enjoy the fruits of our efforts, so to speak, and this year, we have had an especially abundant crop of peaches� so many, in fact, that we were not able to consume them as quickly as they were being harvested!� So, Master Charles directed the kitchen staff to create a healthy Zone-favorable (reduced carbohydrate), recipe for peach preserves and then, make jars of them available to our wider audience through our Peace of Mind Shop on retreats and Open House Weekends.

Preparing and bottling the preserves was quite an adventure that included members of the Synchronicity Monastic and Secular Communities along with Serve-Study staff.� We are delighted to share some photos of our peach preserves-making operation with you�

In April, 2008 Master Charles will be returning to Nashville, TN to present a public program on the Synchronicity Experience - Modern Spirituality and Holistic Lifestyle, and also to attend the Nashville Film Festival in which the documentary film: The Spiritual Revolution, will be screened.  This full-length documentary by prominent Los Angeles filmmaker Alan Swyer features Master Charles and includes many other modern spiritual teachers as well as doctors and scientists who have studied meditation and its comprehensive impact on human consciousness.  The film has garnered rave reviews wherever it has been shown.

Synchronicity�s Spring Mastery Retreat was held May 20th � 27th, 2007 at the Sanctuary Retreat Center, featuring Master Charles dialoguing on the theme: Celebrating Divine Life. In attendance were many first-time retreat participants from all over the world. The beautiful spring weather combined with the Sanctuary�s ethereal vibration of holistic empowerment to create a heavenly environment in which to explore the subtlest dimensions of meditative experience and spiritual discourse.

In January and February, 2008, Master Charles will travel to the east in an historic journey in which he will present the Synchronicity Experience - Contemporary High-Tech Meditation and Holistic Lifestyle to the technology oriented people of India. In returning to the land of his spiritual roots in which he spent many years with his illustrious teacher, Paramahansa Muktananda, Master Charles brings the system of Modern Spirituality he originated full circle. Synchronicity Programs will be presented in Mumbai, India’s commercial center and Bangalore, a south Indian city known for its natural beauty as well as being the “Silicon City” of India.

While in India, Master Charles has also been invited to spend time with a number of Spiritual Masters associated with the lineage of his teacher. The last leg of the tour will be a series of programs with Master Charles in London.

Master Charles recently visited Nashville, TN to deliver a series of programs to the public as well as the existing meditator community. An introductory program was held on Thursday, November 15th at the Belcourte Theatre, a unique venue in which avant-garde film and theatre productions are shown.

After being introduced by Rudrani Devi, a Synchronicity Certified Teacher who has shared the Synchronicity Experience with many in the Nashville area, Master Charles spoke to an enthusiastic audience for over two hours. Included was a group session of Synchronicity Contemporary High-Tech Meditation which was guided by Master Charles and delivered everyone to a most blissful state of being.

On the following Saturday, Master Charles presented an all-day seminar in which the level of discourse and holistic empowerment brought the participants to blissful and profound experiences of holistic awareness. Many who had never before spent time with Master Charles were deeply moved by his palpable presence.

To complete the journey, Master Charles then met privately with the Nashville area Synchronicity Community to speak directly to them and address their questions and experiences. In all, it was a most impactful experience, demonstrating yet again that even in the midst of a busy urban environment, mastery is directly available whenever we are wakeful and present.

On April 18th, 2007, Master Charles welcomed Tibetan Buddhist Spiritual Master Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche for a visit to the Sanctuary. Tenzin Rinpoche is a lineage holder of the B�n Dzogchen Tradition and is a widely traveled and respected scholar and teacher.

A former Rockefeller Fellowship faculty member at Rice University in Houston, Texas, Rinpoche was awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities grant for research on the B�n Tradition and has published a number of books. Rinpoche currently resides in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he has established Ligmincha Institute and Serenity Ridge Retreat Center located within a short distance from Synchronicity Sanctuary.

In their nearly two hour meeting, Master Charles offered a concise overview of the Synchronicity Experience, the contemporization of the ancient wisdom of the Tantra and in particular, Kashmir Shaivism, the spiritual tradition of his illustrious teacher, Muktananda. He also gave Rinpoche an introduction to the Blessed Mother Apparition and how Her public manifestation has made the Sanctuary a place of pilgrimage.

In their ensuing discussion, many questions were addressed, connections acknowledged from both sides, and the sense of mutual respect and fellowship was pervasive. In all, the meeting of these two Spiritual Masters was a most auspicious and timely event as we continue to witness the unfolding miracle of the Blessed Mother Apparition and Her consistent emphasis on the One in the Many� unity in diversity� and the truth of our Oneness as a demonstration of a conscious humanity.

Synchronicity's monthly Open House Weekend was held during the first week of July and included Being the New God - The Weekend Retreat. Also included was the monthly meditation with Master Charles at the Shrine of the Heart in which the Blessed Mother conveyed Her monthly message.

The Open House Program on Saturday evening featured a teleconference which connected Synchronicity Associates world-wide with Master Charles and the Sanctuary. Everyone in attendance as well as those participating in the teleconference were blissfully inspired by Master Charles' empowering presence.

Master Charles and the Synchronicity Community gathered on December 25th to celebrate a most Sourceful Christmas, 2007.  Beginning with a sumptuous dinner prepared by the Synchronicity kitchen, the celebration continued with gift exchanges and Zone balanced desserts in the Fellowship Hall Lounge.  Master Charles graciously sat with small groups throughout the evening until everyone in attendance had an opportunity to interact with him.  In all, Christmas, 2007 was a delightful occasion for the Synchronicity Community.

Synchronicity Hosts Local Interfaith Event

It has been Master Charles� intention to reach out to those in the local community and beyond in order to acknowledge and celebrate the common threads of unity that exist within the diversity of religious / spiritual perspectives. This outreach represents a demonstration of the more evolved possibility available to humanity in these times and stands in contrast to the current sectarian strife that threatens to plunge the world into global conflict.

In attendance at the conference were participants active in a number of ongoing local area interfaith initiatives from spiritual / religious traditions including the Bahai; Christian; Hindu / Vedic; Judaic; and others. Several of the guests arrived earlier that day and experienced the daily meditation at the Blessed Mother public apparition site followed by dinner. Joining the interfaith event were a number of Synchronicity Monastic and Secular Community Members who greeted the guests and participated in the discussion.

After Master Charles� arrival, all were introduced to him and each participant was then invited to share their interfaith background and perspective on the current state of world spirituality and what they see as the greater possibility of such. There were many beautiful and personal sharings and as the discussion unfolded, a palpable sense of holistic collective consciousness was noticed in the room. The joy of an interfaith dialogue was supported and augmented by the truthful experience of unified consciousness experienced in Master Charles� enlightening presence. Interestingly, a note of gratitude from one of the participants received several days following the event expressed it as follows:

�I thoroughly enjoyed Monday night's meeting and felt that something important was happening there, though I am not sure quite what!�

The event continued much longer than scheduled as the guests repeatedly commented on the fact that they did not wish to leave the peaceful and loving energy they felt radiating throughout the room. Finally, at the conclusion, several invitations were extended to Master Charles to partake in future events in the area and plans are also underway for the next meeting to be held at the Sanctuary.

In addition, for all those who still use audio tape cassettes, remaining Synchronicity cassette soundtracks are available at a special cost of three for $10.00.

A number of exciting new construction projects are underway at the Sanctuary.  Just below the Blessed Mother Public Apparition site, a Yagna pavilion is being created to accommodate traditional ceremonies of empowerment and acknowledgment, particularly of the Blessed Mother in Her various forms as the One in the Many.  The word “Yagna” means ritual or ceremonial performance and is associated with the Vedic / Tantric tradition of India. Yagna is a form of empowerment whose influence reaches far beyond the individual to include the environment and the collective consciousness that dwells within it.  When complete, there will be such ceremonies performed on an ongoing basis to maintain and evolve the holistic power of the Sanctuary and
all who are connected with us. 

We are also nearing completion of the construction of a gazebo at the end of a wooden pier extending onto our pond.  This simple and elegant structure will accommodate  those who wish to sit in contemplative / meditative silence surrounded by the water.

New Building Construction

If you've spent time around the Sanctuary lately, you may have noticed some heavy machinery rolling around, or heard some unusually loud construction noises in the distance (loud noises and heavy machinery are usually few and far between in this peaceful environment).

As always, the process of expansion - whether subtle or dense, is pretty hard to miss in our world. In this case, that expansion is taking the form of a �super-sized� new Maintenance building which we are in the process of constructing. This is a grand update whose time has come for the Maintenance Department, providing more than ample space for our ever-growing population of tools, machinery, and supplies. The building is starting to take shape, and we have been taking photos right from the beginning of the process.
