Christmas Day with Master Charles

While Christmas Day at the Sanctuary has always been a blissfully Sourceful experience, this year was especially celebratory. Beginning at 3:00pm with a delicious, Zone balanced Christmas dinner, Master Charles then led the group on a walk to the Pavilion where we meditated together in the empowering presence of the Blessed Mother.

On November 29th, The Sanctuary hosted a gala event to celebrate the unveiling of the Blessed Mother painting, a sacred and miraculous work of art by internationally renowned painter, Alexander Anufriev. Over six months in the making, the monumental work measures seven by ten feet and depicts The Blessed Mother in an ecstatic representation as She currently appears to Master Charles.

We are all born of a mother’s blood, effort, and on-going love. That experience has been universal since the beginning of human history. Yet so often, perhaps for many thousands of years, we humans forget where we come from. In this small talk, which I am so honored to give at the unveiling of this wonderful image, I shall pick out and situate what we are about to see within a larger perspective.

Media response to the Blessed Mother

The first news article on the Blessed Mother Apparition appeared in a local Charlottesville newspaper, The Hook. The feature story included personal interviews with Master Charles as well as Synchronicity Monastic and Secular Community Members. Although the writer had no prior background in comparative religion or spirituality, the article was very well-written and presented a positive and acknowledging perspective.

Since its release, public interest in the Blessed Mother Apparition has substantially increased and daily visits to the public apparition site have been increasingly well attended. Meditators and non-meditators alike are continuing to experience the empowering presence of this miraculous manifestation. Tear-filled eyes and expressions of heartfelt gratitude are not at all uncommon as people leave the Pavilion after a visit.

A Buddhist Monk on Sabbatical at the Sanctuary
September 21, 2006

Adam Kadmon, (Lama Karma Vajrasambhava Rinpoche), an Australian Buddhist monk for nearly forty years, is here at the Virginia Sanctuary for a three month sabbatical. A student of eclectic Tibetan teachers for many years, he has been instrumental in establishing spiritual centers all over Australia. Adam’s work has led him to some of the most remote and exotic locales on the planet as well as into the streets of Australia’s cities to facilitate emotionally and socially challenged youth. As a wandering mendicant, he rarely remains in one place for very long and his daily lifestyle is reflective of the environment in which he finds himself.

September, 2006 - Blessed Mother Apparition update:

In accordance with the Blessed Mother’s wishes, The Pavilion (the public apparition site adjacent to the Grotto), was prepared and opened on August 21st, simultaneous to the start of our week-long Summer Stillpointe Retreat with Master Charles.

Daily afternoon meditations with Synchronicity retreat participants and community members commenced at the Pavilion and have continued since then. Each day, more and more people join these profoundly empowering meditations.
